Do you want your codebase to respond with agility to the future.

A zillion factors can impact weight and "mental agility".People aren't lab rats because they don't live in labs and aren't rats.

It is less easy to pivot a billion-dollar business which has the agility of an aircraft carrier while she is sinking.

Code is fast to write and can be quickly adapted, so you get the agility of the typical dynamic languages but the benefits of a static type system.

It's a creativity-driven field that moves quickly, evolves hourly, and requires intellectual agility.

However starting your development on Android - as your first way of prototyping and finding your MVP - gives you a tremendous amount of agility and flexibility.

That said, it's not nearly as easy to get as subscription revenue for SaaS stuff, obviously, but when you get it, it tends to be higher-dollar.- More flexibility & agility in business concept.

Now, you can go a step further by creating a system to monitor those mediocre employees, making them basically employable while bringing down the top, and call it "Agile" when it's the exact opposite of agility.

Then again, agility and innovation are often underestimated.

I, otoh, belong a lot of different, even weird communities, and I know people making a fantastic living off Wordpress plugins, design themes, social media how-to videos, healthy & super simple cooking classes, etc. I recently met a lady who grosses 7 figures a year on dog agility training products.

But how many exceptions to the rule it takes before the rule becomes invalid -- especially as games begin to compete more and more on features besides graphics?Many of these features are cheaper to develop and benefit from the agility and risk-taking abilities of a smaller development team as opposed to the designed-by-seventeen-committees-in-separate-cupboards approach of the big game studios.
