Browsing the web without an adblocker is like sex with multiple partners every day without a condom.

The web without an adblocker can be a very dangerous place and users are becoming educated on this.

Adblocking is already a thing on desktops/laptops and iOS 9 isn't going to ship with an Adblocker turned on or included.

So, I run with the adblocker on by default then I white list sites that I know are reputable.

Of course I can then make the cutout permanent with a hosts file or user-configurable adblocker...

I assume you could write an adblocker that downloads and then just never actually displays ads.

Every holiday season, no matter what adblocker I'm using, the nagging to donate is incessant.

Honest answer: it's already happening in a way since I do run an Adblocker and Noscript and a custom hosts file etc.

Fix ads and the adblocker problem goes away.

I suppose the fact that the App Store is really simple to use will make it easier on top of likely having a good Adblocker featured on top.

If they're using a quality ad network (does such a thing exist?) where they honor the site's policy of no flash, no videos, and no auto-play advertisements then sure I'd turn the adblocker off.

I just wish someone comes up with a better ad network to compete with the scummy tactics that are used right now by ad networks which would eliminate my need to use an adblocker altogether.
