runkeeper

Its been my sole watch since it was shipped (the original now serves as a screen for Strava/RunKeeper on my bikes).

The Runkeeper app explicitly mentions Pebble Support, and was released on the 20th of April.

If it has to be in the foreground then how does that help apps that mainly run in the background such as RunKeeper?

I regularly use mine with RunKeeper that has a nice interface that shows me my pace, time, distance etc.

On the other hand, if you turned on Runkeeper or Strava and say you're going for a run, that's probably 99% reliably what you actually did.

Strava and RunKeeper are both amazing apps.

I track that with Runkeeper which then syncs it to MyFitnessPal.

Any recommendations between Strava and RunKeeper?

I also use it to track yards I go swimming, Runkeeper for tracking my runs, and miscellaneous things like the music app and the Swarm app.

Strava, Withings, Runtastic, Runkeeper and Noom Coach: all of them tracking apps, with very little emphasis on the prescriptive aspect of fitness.

As recently as 6 months ago it would run Spotify and Runkeeper simultaneously, though with recent versions of Spotify I lost the ability to multitask while not on Wifi.

Then the "bad" reviewer would have been the one the approved the RunKeeper app since the guideslines specifically state that "Apps or metadata that mentions the name of any other mobile platform will be rejected"[1].

Runkeeper works with the phone you already have, and you can optionally add a couple of $50-$150 accessories.

Runkeeper, and most of the other competitors (outside nike) make their money on IAP's for advanced features.

Runkeeper and Strava seem to use a lot of power because it's GPS only.
