pyglet

Does anyone know if these kind of libraries (pygame, pyglet, gosu, etc) are good for networked multiplayer games?

If you combine that with Steve Johnson's excellent Pyglet tutorial[1] you could probably get to writing games pretty quick.

It's used in scientific computing(numpy), web dev(django, flask etc.), game development(pyglet pygame), and a ton more areas.

The pyglet dev version from 2012 at least claims to be for Python3.

Personally, I find Pygame really annoying and Pyglet is great but not really game-focused so it takes some extra footwork.

I made my decision to use Pyglet after seeing it online and seeing someone mention it in the IRC channel.

I cannot recommend pyglet strongly enough for learning graphics and game programming, it is so quick to get started with.

Is there any other game made with pyglet that are open source?

I know that, but I was asking specifically about whether it's mainly a Pyglet issue, or the program itself, or both.

There are plenty of great tutorials for PyGame and pyglet.

A few years back it seemed that pyglet was dead.

I don't know about pyglet, but there are lot of PyGame games to explore.

Pyglet handles a lot of low-level drudgery involved in talking to OpenGL, setting up a window, dealing with input, etc.

Found this while looking for something superior to Pygame but more game-oriented than Pyglet.

Pyglet is really the one I've found easiest to install and get started with.
