There are community created courses for iknow as well - including ones for genki, so you can use it to learn the vocab for a genki chapter as well.

If you have learned Japanese in the past, you know that the Genki textbooks are invaluable learning resources.

There's Tobira - which is definitely a good textbook - but there is a gap between Genki and it.

The same company produces "An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese", but my opinion (Which seems to also be the prevailing one among learners) is that it just isn't as high of a quality textbook as Genki.

If you want to say “I am fine”, you simply say “genki (desu/da)” If you want to say someone else is fine and there is sufficient context to indicate the subject, you also just say “genki (desu/da)”.

The Genki books seem to not use apostrophe but a dash, since I found a PDF of it and it uses the terms "on-yomi" and "kun-yomi" to distinguish んよ (n'yo / n-yo) and にょ (nyo).

It is even worse than what I described so far since if the topic of conversation is people’s health, someone might say “Alisu wa” to ask how Alice is and another person would reply “genki (desu/da)” to mean “Alice is well”.

Not just following a script from Genki, but needing to explain stuff specific to my situation etc.

It's very grammar oriented, so you won't really learn the vocab like you will with Genki.

Genki was fun, you learned a lot, but you're still probably struggling to understand native material, even things that are written for a fairly young audience.
