IF you're a fan of CouchDB, then BigCouch is a dynamo/Riak like version of it that I understand to be quite good.

We don't do quorums, so latency will be much better than quorum/dynamo-based designs.

With Cloudant, they have taken CouchDB and spread it over a dynamo style Ring, which makes it, in some ways, similar to Riak.
