Discourse in a sentence as a noun

The level of discourse on HN lately is absurd.

If others do this as well, which I suspect they will, then it's extremely degrading to the discourse in the comments.

Discourse in a sentence as a verb

Even with my prior knowledge it was hard enough finding opponents who would engage in rational discourse, now it is impossible.

On a number of occasions lately, I've seen people post comments that are totally unacceptable in civilized discourse.

The notion that Apple has actually satisfied a long-standing demand is somehow not allowed to enter this discourse.

This is dubious; the whole "higher education vs. entrepreneurship" discourse is a false dichotomy.
