Beatify in a sentence as a verb

They might not know how to spell it, but most of them would know what beatify is about.

Just for general information, since it's appeared a couple of times, I'll just mention that to make someone out to be a saint is "beatify".

I'm guessing 99% of people wouldn't know what "beatify" meant either, and a significant number would think it was a typo for "beautify".

I bemoan rather than beatify prescriptionists who bequeath their own bespoke English upon the world, befuddled when the rest of us find it somewhere between befouling and beleaguering rather than bewitching.

For instance: cuticle, paean, echelon, emaciated, heinous, comely, disreputable, hearth, dearth, contumely, beatify, subsequent, etc.
