Intemperately in a sentence as an adverb

This is the comment where someone having a bad morning decides to jump into the fray with the parent commenter by arguing back just as intemperately.

I see that some other commenters have taken exception to his tone, but there is another way of looking at that, which is to discount his opinion /because/ it is intemperately worded.

The general internet doesn't really feel constrained by that, so you have people who know next to nothing about the Linux kernel who nevertheless feel entitled to very strong and intemperately expressed opinions about it.
