Blithe in a sentence as an adjective

Can we have just one thread without blithe, off-topic comments about the NSA?

I recommend against saying this kind of blithe ********. people don't like hearing it.

So your blithe "this study must be right, because we already know eating meat is bad, and what else could explain these people being healthy?" is just magical thinking.

What's with the blithe dismissals of Facebook and Zuck-hate? This isn't a zero-sum game - there is plenty of space for Musk and Zuckerberg to both do their thing, and impact the things they will.

And it just frustrates me to see this kind of blithe assurance: "Oh, don't worry, everything will work." It's the same story with distributions.

Additionally, your blithe assertion that "but everyone was doing it!" is a valid defense is...

This lack of balance is one of the looming economic crises facing the US. Your blithe comment implies that this is reasonable, I strongly disagree.

There's one thing I can't stand in many of these comments: The blithe assumption that just because something is open-source, it -- and any fork of it -- could be maintained. I can't emphasise enough how wrong this is.

So, I didn't mean to be so blithe, but this offers no new information that's relevant to the viability of cryonics. edit: I'm aware of vitrification.

That said, your blithe assumption that it's twenty minutes of work does belie an ignorance of how this stuff works. And you're castigating them for not putting one in place when it hasn't been, to the best of my knowledge, a significant issue in the past.

The reason for that is precisely because the high-income techno-libertarians feel entitled to be blithe about it. Please don't. Being harsh is not a good way to argue against blithe nonsense.

They lose that blithe self-confidence and begin to realise they have to play by the same rules as everyone else. And then, they will hopefully turn into constructive, positive-minded members of society.

This is not even a complete thought, never mind a pretty blithe treatment of the actual issues involved. And also, the companies most under fire, particularly Google and Microsoft, are not "startups"

The responses of Heroku are blithe non-acknowledgement acknowledgements of this problem.

I just cannot fathom this blithe indifference to her fate, and this assumption that, as someone who doesn't "know jack about computers and electronics" she is basically doomed. Why doesn't she instead feel like she might want to start reading up on these critical topics?

There's a blithe decadence in insisting that the details of movie-making fantasy conform exactly to your expectations. It's also suspicious that the complaint is aimed at mainstream movies, rather than, for example, pornography for a male audience.

This is absolutely not an "unconditionally pro" policy, so you are downvoted because you're speaking out of ignorance and a blithe appeal, as jlgreco rightly points out, to an argument to moderation.

I subscribed to the Economist through most of the '90s, but did not renew my subscription following a rather blithe editorial saying Bill Clinton should resign. I'm so angry right now at jrogers65's blithe dismissal above of the problem of poverty and poor family life that I'm not even going to respond to him. Yes, it is a messed up situation all around, and the roots of the problem lie far outside the realm of education; yet no teacher can be successful at their goal of educating children, now matter how they go about it, without dealing with those problems.

That and the blithe recommendation to use other solutions, even though they don't have hidden volume functionality which is a main selling point of TC, is what changed my mind, from thinking this is probably a legit mishandled disclosure, to thinking it's probably fake.
