Anamorphism in a sentence as a noun

It's great having the vocabulary to describe recursion and the tools to elegantly recurse, but anamorphism tends to shut down conversations faster than mentioning the m-word.

I believe the fancy math word for this “building up” of a value from a “smaller” initial condition is “anamorphism.”Most interview-style programming problems are catamorphisms, or “boiling down” an initial condition to “smaller” result.

Catamorphism, anamorphism, hylopmorphism, as opposed to something like fold/unfold, foldAndUnfold.
