It's been a long time, but could Seuss' The Sneeches (those with stars and those without thars) serve the purpose?

It's the fact that some Sneeches have stars while others are without thars.

And lots of programmers I know would call them closed minded star-bellied sneeches.

In the circles I move in, it's just a piece of paper some people have and some people don't, kind of like stars on sneeches.
