The point is that most of HN identifies themselves - on the Myers-Briggs scale anyway - as introverts.

Yeah, and then in the comment section the author starts to talk about his love of Myers-Briggs, which illustrates exactly my beef with Myers-Briggs.

At a minimum it means that, for any two people with the same type indicator, they answer Myers-Briggs questions in similar ways.

There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding about the purpose and intention of this test, and the Myers-Briggs type system.

Like identifying as intro- or extroverted - there's self-tests for that (Myers-Briggs or something).

In another company exercise, done after a Myers-Briggs session, they split the I's and E's into groups.

I'm a bit of an introvert but I cant remember what I score on the Myers-Briggs.

I was expecting yet another Myers-Briggs, but I found the actual test (36 questions, each with 4 aspects and least/most options) interesting.

The results vary so much because a fundamental tenet of Myers-Briggs is that Intro/Extroversion and all the other things they claim to measure aren't normally distributed.

This is actually in line with the Myers-Briggs philosophy though.

You can probably say something about people using Myers-Briggs.

I didn't answer the poll because I don't believe in Myers-Briggs Type Indicators.

As a Myers-Briggs "intuitive", maybe I "fit" with people having a similar outlook and values, while "sensory" folks fit with people who've had similar experiences and hobbies.
