mochiweb

Would be interesting to see mochiweb and a few other things thrown in there (maybe nginx for raw throughput).

Uses MochiWeb for web server, ErlyDTL for page templating (Erlang implementation of Django Template Language).

I opted instead to just steal the makefiles from the mochiweb project and call it a day.

Ippolito is well known in the Erlang world for his work at Mochiweb and he is sharing with his community his explorations in Haskell.

Erlang/OTP and Erlang web stacks (Mnesia/CouchDB, Yaws/MochiWeb) are a lot of fun.

Im cetainly not, iserve, yaws and mochiweb are all "off the shelf" web servers that can handle comet pretty well.

In terms of "suiting my needs", that's an example from mochiweb itself, so my needs have nothing to do with it.

* depending on your definition of out-of-the-box, mochiweb doesnt actually enforce any "protocol" for handling comet for you, those are application specific and reasonably trivial to code.

Mochiweb, Yaws, Misultin and Cowboy give you helper functions for writing a response on the socket.

Elli is similar to Mochiweb, in that there is a pool of processes all accepting on the socket (doesn't work on Windows, I'm told).

How can you write a web framework benchmark and not include some of the non mainstream languages with probably the most performant frameworks like Erlang (Cowboy, Mochiweb), Haskell (Yesod, Snap Framework)?
