Could you also change the Jumbotron color for example, then scroll to the Jumbotron section.

Better yet, pretend that everything you say/post/share will be seen on a jumbotron at a packed sporting arena.

It should update the Jumbotron background color (you will have to scroll up perhaps to see it).

For example, if you go Components -> Jumbotron -> Background Color and Paste in #000.

And now a story: Reuters in London had a big Jumbotron screen outside their headquarters.

Also, if everyone is implementing the same Jumbotron design again anyway, why not standardise that and support it right away instead?

The Junkyard Jumbotron lets you use all sorts of devices, and it's web based.

"jumbotron" appeared in a recent release of bootstrap but i wasn't sure where it could be used or what for.

V2.2.2 used ".jumbotron" AND ".masthead" for the hero unit in the docs, so I think they are just condensing that to one class.

I don't see anything standard about terms like "jumbotron masthead", "pure-g" or even "container".

This unit used a remote modem chain involving a "cellular phone" and "digital data card." This means that Jumbotron techs could dial in over 1998-era mobile networks to geometrically align a stadium-sized wall of vacuum tubes as they sat in the middle of said stadium.

Jumbotron displays have existed for decades too, that doesn't mean that it's the correct display technology for day to day use.

Reminds me of Junkyard Jumbotron, which came out of MIT a few years ago.

I would say that the Jumbotron, wells, etc shouldn't be raised materially, and that the shadow effect should probably simple be a sub-class used by the JS based overlays, which should then follow the material design guidelines.
