The support placement actually helps Cura put the Z-scars in a good place on this model.

Looks like a copy of Ultimaker's cura(which is opensource) combined with a copy of thingiverse integrated in the same program.

But Cura is missing one important feature: it can't limit the speed based on Flow Rate.

It’s also worth experimenting with tree supports in Cura or using custom supports in PrusaSlicer to only place them where absolutely needed.

Personally on my Voron, a well tuned Cura profile yield better result.

This I guess is because Cura will start the new layer close to where it finishes it's previous layer by default.

I don’t know how to solve this in Cura without using lines infill.

So I just took the coffee cup STL and loaded into the latest Cura myself, rotated in 90 degrees so it was standing upright.

I typically use OrcaSlicer but the CrealityPrint and Cura work also.

I believe it's based on cura slicer, which is also excellent.

I been thinking an openscad->cura pipeline would be cool.

For FDM, print on a textured bed and play with the “fuzzy skin” settings in Cura.

Optimized for 3D Printing: The generated STL files are specifically formatted to be "watertight" and compatible with common slicer software (like Cura or Bambu Studio).

To do this, simply use Cura, load th STL in, put it in the center of the build plate, and set it to do “lines” infill with about 2.5 mm on center (between centers of the lines) spacing and 0.45 mm width, no top layer and no bottom layer (set them to zero).

The answer is that there are several python GUI applications (a dozen music players, Cura, Calibre, Anki, Deluge, etc).

Cura, the software used to control ultimaker, has come leaps and bounds farther than what it started as.

BTW, just in case anyone needs this, a great program to convert a 3D model to gcode is Cura[2].
