cmder

For me, Cmder was the one app that helped me easily transition back to Windows from OSX.

You can choose either Cmder by itself or a bundled installer that includes msysgit.

But as far as I can tell, Cmder is excellent tool, despite of my specific view about terminal application.

They're not the same thing - I bet you could use fish inside cmder or iterm.

For me cmder is just a set of configs wrapping around ConEmu.

Coupled with cmder for a nice terminal interface, msysgit's ssh is what I've been using for about the past year and a half.

I love cmder and my whole team is starting to use it now.

So I would use Cmder instead of the standard console cmd.exe?

I'm happy enough with cmd, cmder, and Python for scripting.

I'm CLI-only dev, use Node, code tons of front-end but all I use to do is CMDer, VIM, and SSH all running together.

Meh, same here, some are using git bash on top of cmder, some are using Git Gui, some integrated with Eclipse, some integrated with Rstudio.

Anyway, neither of cmd or mysysgit is coming from cmder, and ConEmu has already made it straightforward to use these "add-ins".

I really haven't missed any of my Mac's command line friendliness when on my Windows machines using Cmder.

I love the look of Cmder, and I use it now and again, but it has a number of bugs.

Not that I don't like Cmder, but Babun comes with a preconfigured Cygwin and a lot more tools out of the box.
