Tragus in a sentence as a noun

Your tragus is there to help protect your eardrum from loud noises, among other things.

Wikipedia seems to confirm:"Kali tragus [...] is an annual plant that breaks off at the stem base when it dies, and forms a tumbleweed, dispersing its seeds as the wind rolls it along.

It's more or less the same the same tone as closing your ears manually by pushing the tragus over the opening with your finger, but a bit louder for me.
