Tessellated in a sentence as an adjective

What is an equal-area, tessellated shape that could be used in its place?I guess a triangle.

Or b-splines which could get tessellated client side before saving to the database?

This is actually very similar to a method of doing tessellated origami with a grid of folds.

This could be anything from a website, an iphone game, an error on their bank statement, or the tessellated feature on the side of a building.

I didn't write a sculpting tool, but I wrote a PoC for a tool that "renders" custom tessellated data, pan/tilt/zoom, by the documentation from their site in about a weeks' time[0].

It would be nice to see some benchmarks versus a quad based solution where the quad is tessellated in a geometry shader with a fragment shader drawing the particle or using a texture.
