Scrapie in a sentence as a noun

Kuru, Mad cow disease and scrapie come to mind.

I can't recall if it was already proven that bovine CJD came from feeding them scrapie sheep?

For example, CJD comes from mad cow - so mad cow is transmissible, but scrapie seems to both arise spontaneously in flocks and be transmissible between sheep

But: susceptibility to scrapie is highly genetic and easily tested for.
