Ponderousness in a sentence as a noun

I'm maintaining a math-heavy desktop app in C++ and it's killing me with its ponderousness.

The ponderousness of these data structures isn't just about memory consumption or having to use boxed numbers.

Combined with Java's verbosity, and the fact that a long time ago it really was very slow, you get a platform with a reputation for ponderousness that is only partly deserved.
