Octagon in a sentence as a noun

So the bottom half of a white octagon does look like a pair of briefs.

Small nitpick: That's an octagon, not a hexagon.

I am not sure if this is a step function, but I saw someone pretty much do an octagon shape to hit someone.

Search for "warship" on google images, click on your favorite one, and look for flat, slightly off-color octagon-ish panels on the side.

For example, you have to identify that a red octagon is a stop sign and a yellow pentagon indicates a school zone.

And for alerting a driver who's failing to stop at a stop sign, all you have to look for is one kind of sign that's even easier to recognize than speed limit signs: just look for a red octagon, and no need to OCR the text.

No doubt that over-reliance on icons leads to poor user experience - Gmail went in that hieroglyphic direction, they replaced a "spam" label with some mysterious octagon etc. - but too much of anything is bad.

All I did was follow the link, then I fumbled trying to click on the white "play" triangle in the lower-left corner of the video-rectangle, until I realized that the teal-blue octagon was the way to start the playing...and, after a while, I realized I was listening to the Openstack audio, even though the title displays as "The Linux Kernel..."
