It's hard to take articles seriously that speak so broadly and vaguely about such a diverse continent.

It is an entire 'continent' spanning multiple provinces with very different laws and dynamics.

Minor point, but if you are using factual questions to filter out stupid people, asking for the "right" number of continents is probably not ideal.

Literal as in, that's the energy cost to desalinate ocean water in the Gulf of Mexico and ship it to the center of the continent by freight rail.

Without it, I'd be alienated from my friends and family across the continent and in a few years we would have easily grown completely apart.
