Carrel in a sentence as a noun

Rent-a-carrel seems like it could at least make a go of it in a high-density coworking market like SF. Heck, it would be cool if a coworking space had various areas with varying degrees of openness.

The open layout in the middle will encourage interaction, but for people who have to disconnect and focus they can go claim a study carrel in the quiet room.

I would like a hybrid office inspired by libraries... one center room with an open layout, one side room with general use study carrels which is quiet/soundproofed... and maybe one or two small rooms for private group meetings.
