Bragger in a sentence as a noun

You and I could say the same thing too for example, and that wouldn't make us a bragger.

Xu Dandan himself is just a joke here, and himself is widely considered as a bragger.

It would however make us braggers if we actually did invest and made tons of money out of it.

It also seems that the 'hacker' is a bit of a bragger but he got in a lot further than they initially gave him credit for, and in a way that is so simple that it makes you wonder what else they missed.

I understood the title more as, "since we all know other people's bragging is insufferable and does little to convince us of the bragger's supposedly higher status, why do we continue to brag ourselves as if we believe it will have the intended effect on others?
